Where am I?
In Product Marketing Alliance you can ask and answer questions and share your experience with others!
Hey Aaron, I enjoyed your presentation today. I'd like to ask you how can you make sure the rest of the sales & product team are pulling in the same direction and actually care about these OKRs that PMMs create?
Hey Sean, Great question this is always really hard. Before you make any OKR's you should go around to all the key stake holders and ask them what they are being judged on. So in the case of Marketing or Sales it was leads and closed deals. So we rolled those metrics into registrations and showed that registrations had an impact on their metrics.
Makes sense, thanks for this!
Hi Aaron, great presentation! I'm curious to find out which OKRs are always missed? Thanks
Hey Lawrence, So when it comes to metrics that are often missed it is usually second and third week retention. People often times look at net new registrations and never look to see if they come back, returning users are key to success and have a HUGE impact on rentention so we did a lot of test in messaging and hints to keep people coming back in those second or third weeks. After that I would say a missed one is usually just a net new rather than 30 days rolling, because you can have one good week that throws off all other metrics especially on the B2B side that doesn't give you a great view.
Awesome, thanks! βΊοΈ
